Hi Renae,

I am glad that you and Hajime have one another. You are definitely not alone in your memory experience about your departed cat and anniversaries often creep up on us. I am sorry to hear about the lack of support from the humans close to you. Dealing with flashbacks after the death of your pet
So sorry to hear this, Amy. It is very difficult. A lot of people struggle with guilt and regret after their pet dies. I can appreciate why your situation would make that more pronounced. And then dealing with the shock of what happened at the end and the flashbacks. I hope that in time you will be able to focus on grieving her loss without these other complicating factors. Shailen.

Grieving the loss of a rabbit
Hi Taryne,

I am sorry to hear of your loss.

Regarding your question about the blanket, there isn’t really a right or wrong answer here. It depends on the individual rabbit left behind. I would suggest that you monitor when she is done with it but at the same time ensure that it does not become a complicated attachment/obsessive issue in which case you may need to remove it. Spend time with her, comfort each other but also maintain some routine. It will take you both time and there isn’t really a fixed time with this.

Condolences again on your loss,

Shailen
