I had to put my beloved cat down yesterday. She was 17, and I had her for 12 years. It was time, and a peaceful end, and yet I have been shocked still how much it has affected me. Thank you so much for this post; it is at least reassuring to know that my upset stomach and overwhelming fatigue are normal. I feel like it’s given me permission to be kinder to myself than I would have otherwise been.
