Hi everyone,
it is so sad to read your comments and i feel you!
My cat Garfield passed away last Friday, we had 14 beautiful years together, he was always by our side, he was like a child for us and provided us so much happiness and love!
He was diabetic and became everyday 2 times insuline syringues and the last weeks the veterinary said to change insuline because the blood sigar levels were too unstable… then he lost a lot of weight and i got back and they said he has hyperthyroidis and became another medication which seemed to help but he lost weight more ate and drunk a lot and peed also a lot.. so i kept contact to the veterinary and they said it might be because the insuline is not regulated etc..
thursday morning my beloved Garfield was so weak, he didnt even drink… so i brought him to the veterinary, they kept him therer and fed him with seringues and said his blood levels are ok… so it seemed to be better and i was hoping he could come back home!
on friday 10 am she called and said he seems to feel better, you can come this afternoon to take him but maybe he needs hospitalisation in another place because they were leaving for the weekend. so i got reassured a little bit that i could see him and cuddle with him…
12 am they called he was really bad and may pass away… i cried and drove there in hope that i could hold him if it would be his last breath… arriving there he was already gone.. it was a matter of few minutes and i am culpabilisng myself that i couldnt be there for him to accompany him… we took his body which was still warm and he looked like he was sleeping and i really hope that he felt us, that he wasnt alone! we took him also back to our home because we wanted that he feels that he is at home again for few hours and then placed him in the garden… it hurts sooo much and i really hope he knows we were there! this was so important to me that he wouldnt die without me:( im feeling so bad!! i say alsways sorry to him he deserves the best!! He is the best cat, he is our baby!!! Rest in peace Garfield and be in the most beautiful place! We will see us again!!
