I have had to say a heartbreaking final goodbye to our special boy Basil 19th August, he had a possible stroke and then a massive fit. He was nearly 12, then 10th November I had to say another heart wrenching goodbye to his mum Cassia, she was nearly 14 and had been losing appetite and wasting away which we first thought was her grieving. After several visits to our vets, they said they were sure she had liver cancer but she was too old to put her through invasive treatment and they agreed she was also grieving the lose of her son. We tried different drugs to try and help her but eventually we had to make the dreaded decision. Both were furbabies were put to sleep at home with me and my husband with them but I am finding it incredibly difficult to come to terms with losing both dogs within 3 months. The house feels so empty and I am constantly thinking about them
