I have just come across your post and hope this reply may be of some comfort to you.

I am so sorry for your loss, so shockingly unexpected and sudden. Two of my beloved German Shepherds died with no warning , one a year ago, at home with only me beside him. I remember experiencing great confusion and overwhelming grief and also being very grateful for the support of those around me. I hope you find good support as you grieve your friend and companion.

Please take good care of yourself – I will light a candle for you each night until the end of August.
