Our 13-year-old dog Maggie will her end time with us this coming Friday and I am undone. As a family we have experienced several significant losses in the past few years, beginning with the death of my mother to COVID in April 2020. It has been such an onslaught of grief, that it’s been hard to process – (or perhaps more truthfully), the legacy of love has felt tightly held, lest it leak and become a flood. Yet, these past few days, tears flow freely and that’s ok.

I am so grateful for your writing – not only for perfectly expressing the depth of what I am feeling today but for guiding me to view these feelings with gentle wisdom and compassion. Thank you x
